My new SB36512-F6 5.1.2 soundbar will not connect to my home network via WiFi or ethernet (the preferred option), and won't pair with the SmartCast app via WiFi (for obvious reasons) or Bluetooth. I can pair it via Bluetooth with my LG V30 Android phone and play music as a Bluetooth speaker, but no Bluetooth pairing with the SmartCast app.

According to the email beginning on August 8th, 2018 Hulu will no longer support VIZIO TVs build prior to 2013. Here is the email that was sent out.
