Peacock App Xfinity Customer. On June 15, 2020, NBC will release Peacock, its streaming platform to compete with Netflix. Comcast Xfinity X1 or Flex customers get early access on April 15, 2020. Peacock's free tier -- which rivals Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus and HBO Max currently lack -- offers about 13,000 hours of ad-supported content, with the option to upgrade to premium if you want to. If you want to upgrade to Peacock Premium Plus, which is the ad-free version, visit peacocktv.com. Peacock Premium Plus is billed separately by Peacock and costs $5 for Xfinity customers. In a few months, non-Xfinity customers will be able to subscribe to the app, and a free tier of the app will be added.
Peacock will be led by Matt Strauss, who previously was the head of Comcast’s Xfinity cable products.. a Peacock app will launch on Sony’s Playstation 4 game console.
Once the app is installed, all users have to do is open the app and link an email address. As this is being gifted to Comcast Xfinity customers, no other information other than an email address is currently required. So I am an Xfinity Internet only customer. I downloaded the Peacock app on my IPad and created an account. In the settings there is a place for xfinity and Cox customers to sign in to receive the premium version for free but when I enter my Xfinity log in information it says “Sorry your Xfinity service doesn’t include Peacock Premium”.
