When the app is not working there is probably something amiss with the Nest Connector and will indicate ‘Offline’ on your phone. Confirm that the connector is on. Check if it is offline. Check If the Nest Service is Down:When service is down, all Nest products are offline. When you open the Nest app on your phone, you will see a message. The mobile Nest app lets you control all your devices from one central app or web page. That’s perfect for 2013. Sure it’s a first-world problem, but I want to control my Nest from a menubar. Not even the meager stop-gap solution exists, so all they can do is twiddle their thumbs and hope for Google to update the Nest app for the platform to allow for Google logins.
