My Chrome Apps Disappeared. For months I had been using my Moto G5+ Android phone to cast Hulu, CuriosityStream, etc. to my Chromecast dongle. Then suddenly my phone's cast-to-Chromecast function disappeared. The phone's Hulu app's top-of-screen Chromecast icon/button was missing. I checked my other apps and found that these Chromecast icons were also gone. Glory Hallelujah!! I just ran CCleaner and cleaned out some stuff, and now, somehow, Google Chrome & Google Chrome 2 have been fully restored! Before closing this thread, I would like for someone to explain to me exactly how I lost Chrome to begin with and how running CCleaner was able to bring it back. And it usually happens when I launch Chrome, and through variables I don't quite understand, the instance of Chrome gets messed-up. It doesn't save history, and all the bookmark favicons are gone. Exiting Chrome, looking through the Task Manager (ctrl+alt+delete), ending all "chrome.exe" processes, and launching Chrome again usually fixes it.
