I don’t have the time and /or desire to make instagram a full time job. I have never gotten a new customer from instagram, I get at least 2 a week from just google searches. Yea, pretty nice feeling when everyone likes my photos, but that’s gone now, and without commiting 10 hours a day to an app that gets me nowhere it’s going to stay gone.

Instagram has confirmed that likes and comments are super important when it comes to feed ranking — so it’s a great idea to encourage as many as possible for your posts. One of the best ways to do this is by writing good captions that drive engagement. Just like that, your Instagram account is gone—an issue all of us Instagram users are terrified of, and something that has unfortunately become a popular concern nowadays. Since Instagram’s latest algorithm changes this past July, Instagram began analyzing our activity, including something as minimal as the way we scroll through our feed. Scrolling down, Roberts saw the effects of the change: Gone were the 500,000+ likes Chris Pratt would generally get on a random photo of his lambs (#farmlife), and gone, too, was the modest, lower-digit “like” count she’d get on a hiking photo. (Gone-ish, anyway ― on the backend, an uploader can see who liked their pic and manually count the names, if they’re so inclined.)
