Hbo Now App Disappeared. This HBO Now accounted started through Amazon in 2015 when we got a Firestick and has always been charged through them but I exclusively use my PS4 to stream it now. The HBO NOW app is gone, forces me to start HBO MAX, but says it’s unavailable and won’t give me the option of regular HBO NOW. On July 31, HBO discontinued the HBO Go app on most devices and rebranded HBO Now as just "HBO". In many cases, HBO Max is being offered as a free upgrade and replacement for those older services. HBO today announced that its HBO GO and HBO NOW streaming services will no longer be available on second-generation and third-generation Apple TV models starting April 30, 2020.
If you depend on an older Apple TV to watch HBO, you may want to look for new hardware. As announced in April, the HBO Now app has been pulled (via 9to5Mac) from second- and third-generation Apple.
